Reminds one of European cinema of the 60's-70's. Despite coming off as extremely contrived, the film deserves attention for trying to break the mold and attempt something hitherto unheard of in Indian cinema.Spunky Monkeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06483736497862498849noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18492075.post-69642281513924390702007-12-28T23:21:00.000+05:302007-12-28T23:21:00.000+05:30Oh god! i just realized that i missed your irrelev...Oh god! i just realized that i missed your irrelevant PJs and your obsessions with split personality disorder.Note to self: I should not utter splits, personality and disorder anytime with V.Soumiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17712042786493282626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18492075.post-83521989617675914512007-12-27T19:20:00.000+05:302007-12-27T19:20:00.000+05:30@krupaYou are not alone. Sanju Baba and Suniel Anna are two bhais who are being targetted by two young supari killer debutant kids. This story is very similar to their story as kids, where they had killed some top dons. Now, the roles have reversed, the hunters have become hunted and bewda, bhadwe, thok daal saale ko, bham bham bham!

@bpsk
I also love that scene in Analyze This. I am a huge De Niro fan :D

@raghu
I guess a few of my readers are Bollywood fans, so I would play safe and declare that most of the Bollywood is insane! ;)

@madhuri
"Matrimony" was the best story of the lot - and not so surprisingly its lifted from the story "Mrs. Bixby and the Colonel's Coat"!
"High on the highway" is what might have happened when Hansal Mehta saw "Trainspotting" or "Requiem for a dream" when he was high and got inspired :D
The problem with "Rice Plate" and "Gubbare" was that they were trying too desperately to generate sympathy!Bit Hawkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03212513393219146763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18492075.post-39434679965136453312007-12-21T19:13:00.000+05:302007-12-21T19:13:00.000+05:30You go see a 'right-on-the-edge-of-insanity' movie...You go see a 'right-on-the-edge-of-insanity' movie and write down about its worst parts! How come you missed out on 'High on the Highway' - that would have fit in well in your assortment.
Actually, Rice plate wasn't too bad. And the first story on marriage was predictably decent. I did like the twist in Zahir - served him just right.
But you watch an assortment in Paris Je t'aime and end the year with this one!
